“We live on the streets and often don’t have food to eat. Earlier, our mother would ask people for money so she could feed us, while our father sold small small toys at the signal. But now we have grown old enough to earn for ourselves. We have always enjoyed the 11 days of Ganesh Chaturthi because it’s so much fun and we get to eat many varieties to our heartfull. We admire the grand idols and decorations and love to dance and play during the festival. The festivities make us happy and we wish to have an idol of our own every year!”
