“I am from Rajasthan. When my father passed away 7 years ago, I moved to Vijaywada. We were going through severe financial crisis back then. I had decided it was time for me to take up the responsibility of my mother and younger sister. Everyday was a struggle. I worked at small hotels, doing odd jobs like that of a floor cleaner or a room service attendant. After 2 years, I finally managed to move my family here. Everyday, my mother and I would have long discussions about what we could do with our limited resources. Eventually we came up with the idea of setting up our own tea stall. It sounds like an easy task but we faced many obstacles. We had no money to rent a space and there were many roadside stalls already selling tea in our town. We had almost given up when one day, while passing by a vacant space next to a big building, an idea struck me. I could not see the vacant space merely as a piece of land. I saw it as an opportunity. I found out that space belonged to a businessman from my hometown. Without a second thought, I approached him and explained him our situation. Thankfully, he let us use the space for an affordable rent. We bought all the required materials and spent days together making a small tea shop there. The day we opened the shop was one of the happiest days of my life. Things got better when we began to make profits after initial setbacks. Today we sell hundreds of cups of tea everyday and all our financial troubles are long solved. My bank loan request got approved and I managed to purchase the space from the owner as well. Well, it’s true what they say, any problem can be solved over a cup of tea!”
