“I belong to an agricultural family. But I never wanted to be a farmer. I respect my father and his profession too, but he has always asked me to be a teacher. He says, if a farmer decides the health of the country, a teacher decides the future of the same country. It has been my dream to be a teacher, but in the public sector (government) and not in private schools. I have seen so many underprivileged children beg on the roads with their parents. It disturbing to see people of my age work or beg, instead of studying. What is the difference between that kid on the road and me? Why are they not in schools when I am? Even my father doesn’t have an answer for this. He says maybe it’s destiny. But I don’t believe that. I will change this. When I grow up, I will first join a government school to provide such kids a good education. When I have enough money, I will open my own school and give children from low-income families scholarships. When you have a chance to change someone’s life, why do anything else?”
