“Every time I saw my father struggle as a salesman, I thought I’d own a small business one day and solve his problems. He worked hard but his income was close to satisfactory. After my 10th grade, I had to discontinue education due to financial reasons at home. I continued what my father used to do and became a salesman.
Although I didn’t have the education or
money in the beginning, I never lost hope. I saved enough during my days as a salesman and also pursued a bachelor’s degree simultaneously. About 15 years ago, I opened this general stores with all my savings. My father left his job and he joins me at the shop. Since we were new to the business, it took us almost five years to establish a brand and gain customers’ trust. It’s a happy business now, with a few ups and downs once in a while. I have two children and I’d like to educate them as much as possible. I don’t want them to face the hardships I did. A few years later, I also plan to start a food-related business, something like a sweet shop. I hope things go as planned.”
