“Three years ago, I was confused about what life had in store for me. I had just passed out of college as an undergraduate in Visual Communications, which was unusual for a typical Vijayawada boy. I come from a traditional family and even they expected me to pursue Engineering, but I wanted something more for myself – I wasn’t made for a 9-5, cubicle bound job. I used to play the Violin and Keyboard when I was in college, so I decided to pursue my passion for music. I started performing at various events and began to get recognition within my circle; that’s when I felt like I was doing something through which I could reach out to people. When I started doing live shows, I realized that people here want to try new music, but lack the right platform. So we began to mobilize people and conduct open music events every month. Honestly, we thought we would get an average response but to our surprise, we got a lot of applications. We’ve managed to build a community for artists in the most unlikely of places. What began with absolutely no man power is now a budding space for people to perform what they have always wanted to. Our parents have also realized that there’s more to our lives than a corner office and a computer. And that in itself, is revolutionary.”
