”I am the second son of our hotel’s founder, Mr. Subbaiah. We try to satisfy all our customers, treating them like our own family members. We go by the motto – Our customer’s happiness is our happiness and rely on word of mouth to spread our hotel’s popularity. We ensure that we serve our customers well enough so that each of them recommends our hotel to atleast ten other people. My father started off with a small.coffee shop. One day, he was approached by around twenty students who offered him money to arrange food for them. That was when it all started. We went from Peeta Bhojanam to serving on banana leaves. I had a beautiful childhood. My favourite dish from our hotel was the Boore, which was prepared by my mother. We even started introducing dishes made at home in our menu such as Neeti Boore and Peruguvada. We have the distinction of being the only hotel in all of Andhra Pradesh that serves Punukulu Kurma. I also serve food sometimes to see the smile on our customers’ faces.. Neeti Kaja is famous in Kakinada and we serve that also here. Butta Bhojanam is our special item which costs Rs. 250 and serves 4 people. If relatives come to your place, you can take this to your home and eat happily with them. I am happy seeing how much we have achieved and I am proud of the reputation that our hotel has earned. We are aiming for greater heights now. I have started catering within a 250 km radius.
I have no regrets in life. I’ve married off my 3 daughters and my sons in law have also gotten into this business. We have two branches in Hyderabad which are doing quite well and we plan on expanding into Vizag as well shortly. My favourite actor is Chiranjeevi. I don’t believe in the caste system. I share a great rapport with all my customers. They even invite me for their family functions. I have a dream that all my 3 sons in law should start a hotel of their own one day.”
