“My family comes from a small village where education wasn’t given priority. My father moved to Vijayawada in search of work when he was just 20 and he now works in a small factory. Although he works hard, we still struggle financially. All his life he has sacrificed things in order to provide us with a good life. I worked hard in school. That was the only way I knew how to pay back to my father. I wanted to make him proud.
I wanted to become a Photographer. But, I had to put my dreams aside because we didn’t have the money for it. So, I began looking for a job after I completed my Intermediate. Initially, I tried applying for jobs in the field of photography, but I was rejected multiple times. That’s when I realized that I would get better opportunities if I was a graduate and had some work experience. So I joined a course in Mass Communication. I wanted to work in a production house because I knew that it would prepare me for my Photography career too. I asked some of my seniors for help and within a month, I got a call from a YouTube channel to join them as the intern! I was thrilled! When I finally got the job as a production assistant, I could see the pride in my father’s eyes. Now I attend college from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and then work from 4 pm to 9 pm. Life is a bit hectic but I love being this busy and I know that at the end of these 2 years, it will all be worth it.”
