”I never took serious interest in photography, let alone choose it as a full time profession. One day my brother met with a fatal accident and in an instant, he disappeared from our midst. If that jolt was not enough, I had to deal with the responsibilities of the family. I was a happy go lucky guy till then, and with my brother shielding me of all the burdens, I had no idea about a job or a career. For the first time, I had to face the harsh realities of life.
My immediate thought was to take care of my brother’s photography business. He had a good reputation of being a professional photographer and established decent contacts. Slowly and steadily, I got over the fear of matching up to my brother’s talent, and instead focused on what I could do. As I grew the business and developed better relations with old and new clients, I came into my own. Now, I am doing quite okay and working hard to scale up my profession.
Often, I think of my brother and I miss him a lot. But every time, I take a good picture and admire the results, I find his happy reflection all over it.”
