“I come from a family that has been in the medical field for a long time now. My mother works as a nurse in a government hospital. Moving out of India and pursuing my MBBS in the Philippines was not an easy decision. Living independently in a country you don’t know of is a thrilling experience I must say.

I am presently pursuing my 3rd-year MBBS, and trust me it still feels like yesterday, when my family and I were hesitant about my life in a country filled with strangers. I can never forget the financial struggle my family went through to allow me to achieve my goal of becoming a doctor and serving the people.

So far, I have had my share of ups and downs, but the will and determination I have has never faded. Trust me, I had goosebumps when I was first exposed to an environment that needed me to step out of my comfort zone. It took me a while to adjust to the surroundings. But I always knew that no boundaries can ever stop me from letting me achieve my aim.”
