“We often corner our passions in order to win the rat race and meet the expectations of society. Sometimes, we have got to look deep into our hearts and ask ourselves what we truly want. We have to satisfy our inner desires based on our actions. I quit a very lucrative job to catapult my own firm.
I have diverse interests. I am both a graphic designer and an interior designer. Both the genres cross paths. So, I chose to walk on both. I went to Hyderabad in my teenage years to pursue photography but when I heard people rave about graphic designing and animation, my heart leaned towards the same. I took it up and now, there is no looking back. After working as a graphic designer for 10 years, I took a leap of faith and became an entrepreneur. I’ve started an interior designing startup in which I have three employees working under me, and it has been going great so far.
I would be lying if I say I struggled all that much, thanks to my dedication and good fortune. Of course, Covid did stir up some chaos but it was not too paramount. Despite the testing times, the graph of my business is still stable. We are a family of five, and they are all extremely supportive of my decisions. That is probably one of the main reasons I’m able to sail through despite the harsh tides.
If I could give my two cents to budding entrepreneurs, then it would only be one thing. Don’t start random businesses. Do what drives you. Be well equipped with what you are setting up. Be independent and take the plunge.”
