“According to me, teaching is the most noble profession. I cannot forget how every teacher in my school and college helped shape my life. I was quite fascinated by the idea of being the changemaker in someone’s life, especially students who are the future of this country.

I started my career in 2001 as a teacher. Today, I am the correspondent of a school. I attribute my success to my teachers. I remember dreading the transition from Telugu medium to English medium during high school. I later understood that an English medium syllabus had more prospects, and it opened a lot of avenues for me.

In my school here, I ensure that my students are on par with the city students. Be it their language, soft skills or knowledge, I make sure that they are prepared for the rat race in the world and even in this town. This is what my teachers had imparted to me and I am trying my best to pass it on to my students.

The job satisfaction in this field is inexplicably rich. It is rewarding to see students walk out of this gate into the competitive world with utmost confidence. In my 19 years in this career, there has not been a single moment that made me regret choosing this profession. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

The advice I give all my students is- Stay focused on your goal, inculcate discipline and choose your friends wisely. Adolescence is the most impressionable phase of our lives. We have to train our mind to walk on the right path without any distractions, and that stems solely from discipline.”
