“I came to Tirupathi from Haryana with big plans. My mother was so proud of me when I completed class 12. She was confident that I would do something productive in life by studying further, but I had different plans. I wanted to start a food business on my own.
So after my intermediate, I joined my uncle’s restaurant as a helper for 2 years. It was hard work but I had a great time working under him. But unfortunately, he had to close the restaurant as there were some issues with the finances.
For a while, I had no idea what to do with my life but then I remembered my purpose.
I went ahead and set up this small Frankie stall here at SV College Road. At first, I found it difficult to manage all alone but slowly I started taking my business seriously. Today, I am my own boss and more importantly, happy with what I am doing in life.
Now that the government has eased the lockdown norms completely, I have reopened my stall. With colleges and schools functioning online, it has become difficult for me to do business. Despite having so much debt, I am still running my stall hoping for some magic in the future. Let’s see how it goes.”
