“We are a family of eight and I grew up in a financially unstable home. My mother sold corn, while my father carried goods at the godown. This way, I only saw struggle and misery all through my childhood.
Fortunately, none of it affected me negatively. It only made me more responsible about life. Even as an adult, I’ve not had an easy life. I met my current partner at 19. Meeting the love of your life at a young age is not wrong but it’s not always easy because you have to take important decisions together, at an age when life choices are crucial. But we listened to each other, we made plans before we got married. The point is, yes we suffered at times from managing our finances to convincing our parents, but we never stopped loving each other. I was still studying back then. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I did many odd jobs before I got into the real estate business.
There were many challenges but I became strong enough to make every problem seem fine, considering I had already seen so much.
Today, I am working as a real estate agent – a business which we setup with a lot of difficulty, right from the investment to handling the changing trends.
The real estate business isn’t as easy as it was when I was younger. Back in those days, there was value for money and trust among people. But that seems to have changed today. However, I stick to my ethics. I’ve done many things to earn a livelihood, but cheating clients could never be one of them.
In the end, being honest with our approach is what makes our life meaningful.”
