“These days, as I walk back home in the evenings after closing my shop, the silence reminds me of what life in my village was like. I can’t help but smile at how natural this quietness is to me.
All throughout my childhood, I cherished the sounds of nature. Although this situation is just limited till the lockdown, for me, it’s all tied to a slower paced life, more in tune with nature.
It’s about letting human life blend harmoniously with nature. People living in cities have lost this connect to a great extent and so much of human life seems to be in complete isolation.
Today, with this global shutdown we can’t help but notice that the corona virus outbreak has brought humanity to its knees. It’s now about saving one’s life and not bothering about anything else. I hope it will push the human race to rethink our choices, our lives, our priorities and more importantly our role in the bio-system. We as a species must slow down. We must spend more time, thought and effort on issues of greater importance, like how connected life is and how we must be responsible for each other and this planet. We should consider this as an opportunity. An opportunity to rediscover our essential nature and regenerate as truer, more caring, beings from now.”
