“I am 69 and I have been working everyday for the last 35 years. I am still loving it. I am currently juggling a busy routine of being a watchman, exercising and spending time with my granddaughter whom I love very much. I’m only a tenth pass. I have always done odd jobs. One thing I know is that no matter how much you study, education isn’t always enough to make you a responsible citizen. I have even seen the educated being irresponsible of the things that are happening around. It could even be small things like littering, throwing plasic covers and garbage on the roads. It really bothers me to know that we are at a stage where we have to purchase water from tankers for day to day needs. I have seen my hometown changed from a lush green land to a concrete jungle. Back then, the development was less but the satisfaction was high. Now things have changed completely. In the name of development, everyone is trying to practice modernization but ultimately it is affecting nature’s balance. I certainly feel it’s high time that we all come together or else we will have to face even worse situations in the near future. The only way to remain sane in this rat race is to reinvent ourselves and also work together for a greener society.”
