“We belong to Porja Caste and our speciality is Dhimsa dance. We dance in a circle, praising our Kula daiva for the welfare of our community. There are different variations in Dhimsa. We also dance to showcase our culture to the tourists. We dance at weddings as the women in our community pray for the newlywed couple and also wish them a happy married life. It gives us immense happiness to portray our tradition to visitors from all parts of the country. We feel overwhelmed when the tourists click pictures with us and praise our tradition. We will continue to entertain our visitors and share our happiness with them.”
