”When I was young, I used to drive Lorries and later I move to agriculture for my livelihood. I was leading a rosy and happy life, both personally and at the farms until I had an irreversible leg injury in a tragic accident, which ruined my life and livelihood. I couldn’t go to the fields as moving my ankle would cause excruciating pain. I was going through a bad crisis. I have a wife to take care of. I even tried applying for a pension, but it was rejected because I was only 58 years old back then. With great difficulty, I overcame those rough times and managed to open a small nursery in Mahadevapatnam village, which is close to my house.
It has been 8 years since I have started selling flowers. Even today, I strive hard for my livelihood. My son discontinued his education post 10th class and he goes for daily
labour. Both my children are married and my daughter is blessed with two children. No matter how hard the situations might turn out to be, we should find a way to triumph over adversities. It can be done only if we believe in ourselves.”
