“I worked as a delivery agent for an e-commerce store for 4 years. It was back-breaking work and consumed most of my days. As a result, I failed in my Intermediate exams. It was ironic because I worked only to fund my education, and not to fill my pockets. I got vexed with such jobs and here I am selling tea.
My parents forced me to study, even though we couldn’t afford it. Just to please them, I picked up a job at a very young age and the going so far has been very tough as I sell tea during the day and do the same for a company in the night. I will finish the degree somehow….and after that I will do whatever I feel like.
I think education is overrated in our country. My brother is an MBA and he does a door to door marketing job. He has no heavy loads to carry like I had to, but the nature of the job looks very similar to me. So…what I realized now is that it’s best to leave the kids to decide for themselves and let them do what they want. Education might be important…but a college degree is not the end of all and definitely not for everyone.”
